Rules
Happy Times Play Café Play Rules
Welcome to Happy Times Play Café! To keep our space clean, safe, calm, and fun for every family, please review and follow our play rules before your visit.
📝 Waiver Required
A parent or legal guardian must complete an online waiver for each child before entering the play area. Party guests may be asked to sign a hard copy waiver before play.
🎂 Age Guidelines
Our indoor play space is designed for infants 6 months through age 5. Once a child turns 6, they have aged out of the indoor play space — no exceptions.
Our outdoor play space may be used by children up to age 8.
👟 Shoes Off, Socks On
When you enter the café, please remove shoes, put socks on, place belongings in the cubbies, wash hands, and then head to the age-appropriate play areas.
🧦 Grip Socks Required
No shoes and no bare feet are allowed beyond the cubbies. Adults may wear regular socks, but all children must wear grip socks. Grip socks are available for purchase in the café.
🚫 No Drop-Offs
Children must be supervised by their parent, guardian, or caregiver at all times. Happy Times Play Café is not a drop-off facility.
👀 Grown-Ups Must Supervise
Parents and caregivers are responsible for watching their child or children at all times. Happy Times Play Café is not responsible for injuries, accidents, behavior concerns, or children leaving the premises.
🍼 Potty Training & Diapers
Children who are potty training must wear a pull-up during play. Please check diapers often so they do not become too full, swell, or leak.
👶 Diaper Changes
A changing table with a privacy curtain is available. Please do not change diapers on couches, floors, or play surfaces.
🤱 Nursing Space
A chair is available near the changing area for anyone who would like to breastfeed.
🥤 No Outside Food or Drinks
Outside food, drinks, Stanley cups, liquid containers, and personal beverages are not allowed. Please help keep our café supported by enjoying our coffee, tea, frappes, smoothies, water, soft drinks, breakfast items, sandwiches, Snackuterie Trays, charcuterie, and snacks.
🍽️ Food Stays at the Table
Food and drinks are not allowed in the play areas. Please keep all food and beverages at your table, and do not allow children to walk into the play area with food in their mouths.
☕ Hot Drinks & Food Safety
Adults are responsible for monitoring their own hot café beverages and food items at all times.
🚼 No Strollers
Please leave strollers at home or in your vehicle. We simply do not have the space for them inside the café.
🛝 Slides Are for Sliding
Please do not allow children to roll hard toys or objects down the slides. This can damage the slide surface and create safety concerns.
💛 Kind Play Only
No roughhousing, unsafe play, or destructive behavior. Please share the space with love, kindness, and respect.
🎶 Cleanup Song Time
At the end of each play session, our cleanup song will play. Please help your child return toys to the shelves so our staff can clean, sanitize, and reset for the next families. We only have 30 minutes between sessions, and we want every family to enjoy the same amazing experience.
🌈 Redirection Policy
If staff notices or is made aware of unsafe, unkind, or destructive play, we will calmly find the parent or guardian and ask for help redirecting the child.
If the behavior continues after two redirection attempts, the child may simply be tired or having a hard day. In that case, we may ask the family to end the play session and try again another day. Entrance fees are non-refundable. Banning a family is an extreme last resort and only considered when Happy Times and the family are not a good fit.
🤧 Sick Child Policy
Please do not bring children with contagious symptoms, including fever, vomiting, harsh cough, or runny nose. We work hard to keep our indoor playground as healthy as possible for all families.
🧘 Gentle Discipline Only
We do not allow yelling, spanking, or harsh discipline inside Happy Times Play Café. It disrupts the calm, peaceful environment we want for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and children. Please use gentle guidance and redirection. If your child is having a rough day, it may be best to end the playdate and try again another day.
🧸 Let Them Explore
We encourage children to enjoy self-directed play while grown-ups observe from a safe distance and gently guide when needed.
